Whoa. You captured something in words that has eluded my articulation. I will use this entry in my credentials interviews and training of pastors from here on out.

You articulated amazingly well both the church that we were part of for several years, and fled two years ago, and the church I have always longed for, and may becoming a reality. The first church chewed us up and spit us out. We were nothing but a means to an end and any pushback meant we were dangerous and perhaps the real wolves in the church. Not only was this the result of a narcissistic abusive pastor, but also of an entire church planting network that has numbers as the measure of success, no matter how many bodies pile up on the side of the road. I am so thankful now to have a pastor who, through his own intense suffering, sees people and their stories as beautiful and valuable. I think that your words, while so spot on with the particular vocation of pastor, can be used to help the entire church develop a culture and posture of valuing the individual as having inherent worth despite their apparent usefulness to any agenda. Thank you.

I had no idea my jaw could drop so many times in a single article. It’s like you heard my heart as I grappled with those who were abusing me.

Wow! This resonates on so many levels. I really appreciate the time and effort you put in to communicating this so clearly and carefully. It is well-thought out and communicated with wisdom, clarity, compassion, and strength. Thank you!

Hi Ryan. The deconstructists, even 'orthodox christians' are soft- "everyone goes to heaven" also still servitude to worldly which is enmity of God.

I pray your family and fled house are learning God's ways & plans for Shalom Health because Shalom is knitted all thru Bible. It is the main reason I fled from blind-church worldliness.

I never get flu or colds, have muscle, am 70 y/o. Choice of specific foods known now.

Prov. 31:10-31. Who can find a Virtuous woman; her husband trusts her, she does No Evil to her husband all her years. :-( something twisted the last century in home department! Produced a nation of narcissist women & men. :-((

Eph. 6 withstand days of evil, Having Done All to Stand- sunestemi. III John vs 2 above ALL things brethern, I wish you to Prosper and be in Health(shalom) Genesis 1:26, 28 Subdue & have dominion Over ALL THINGS on EARTH. < (The first Instructions to BE GOOD STEWARDS.) God says in Isaiah or Jeremiah " I grieve, weep to see people so flailing" God says put away clamor.

My whole life is too much to bear, as men & pastors everywhere are narcissists, women are creepy weak minded. Pastors turn away women & children's needs, NO CREATIVE SOLUTIONS & combining of How to be true Christ followers in Acts chpt 2 >here in Western Washington. What is pastoral training Supposed to ACT as? James 1:25 :-( Susan
